What are your hours?
Lu's Cafe & Bakery is open Monday through Saturday from 7:30am to 3:00pm, and Sunday from 7:30am to 12:00pm.
How far in advance should I order a custom cake?
We recommend at least 5 days notice for custom cakes so we can plan flavors, decoration, and pickup. Rush requests are sometimes possible — call us and we'll do our best.
Do you deliver?
Yes. You can order pickup or delivery through Toast, and we're also on UberEats, GrubHub, and DoorDash.
Do you accommodate allergies or dietary needs?
We can accommodate based on requests — please note any allergies or dietary needs on your inquiry.
Where are you located?
We're at 384 Essex Street in downtown Lawrence, MA, with indoor seating and street parking nearby.
Do you cater events?
Yes — from small office breakfasts to weddings. Request a quote on the Catering page and we'll follow up within one business day.
Do you serve breakfast and lunch?
Both, every day we're open. Breakfast sandwiches, egg-and-cheese croissants, and pastries in the morning, plus bánh mì, wraps, homemade soup, salads, and empanadas through lunch until we close.
Do you have boba?
Yes — we add popping pearls (popping boba) to our iced teas, lemonades, and specialty drinks. We don't serve milk teas.
What kind of coffee do you serve?
Vietnamese coffee is our signature — slow-dripped cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese iced coffee) with condensed milk — alongside espresso drinks, lattes, iced coffee, hot and iced tea, and chai.
Do you have Vietnamese food?
Yes. Bánh mì, vermicelli bowls, fresh spring rolls, egg rolls, and Vietnamese iced coffee, made the Lu's way in Lawrence, MA.
Do you sell cakes by the slice or whole cakes?
Both. Our bakery case has slices and classic desserts like tres leches daily, and we make whole custom cakes to order with at least 5 days notice.
