Cake toppers & edible photo prints
Every custom cake at Lu's can be finished with a topper. We offer two approaches, and both are set up as part of the planner above.
Style inspiration. Upload up to three reference photos — a Pinterest save, a cake you loved at a friend's party, a color palette. Our baker uses them as a guide and interprets the look by hand. We don't copy the reference exactly; we make it feel like yours.
Edible photo prints. Send one photo or piece of artwork and we'll print it on food-safe edible paper and place it on top of the cake. Portraits, family pets, company logos, favorite characters — anything that reproduces well at cake scale. For the sharpest print, aim for at least 1200 × 1200 pixels; the image will be cropped to fit whichever shape and size you choose.
A quick note on copyright: for edible prints, we ask that you confirm you own the image or have permission to use it (including any licensed characters or logos). It's a checkbox in the planner.
Toppers may add a small amount to the final price and a day or two of lead time — we'll confirm both when we reply to your inquiry.
